About

About our foodbank

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Tamworth Foodbank is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 12.30pm – 3pm. We are located at The Manna House on the Glascote Road. Parking is on Bamford Street and Neville Street. We are open at St Andrew’s church in Leyfields, 11am – 1pm on Thursdays.

If you need a food bank voucher please either call Tamworth Borough Council on 01827 709 709 (option 5 then 3), Community Together on 01827 59646 or Tamworth Foodbank directly on 01827 302431 for advice.

Please follow Tamworth Foodbank Facebook page for updates:

We rely on food donated by the community and as such the food supply is limited. In order to ensure that we can help as many people facing financial crisis as possible, we are reducing the amount of times you can access Foodbank.

A referral is needed for every visit before we can provide food, but please note this does not guarantee a parcel. From 1st April 2026 we will only be able to issue you with a maximum of 6 emergency food parcels in any 12 month period. For more details please ask one of our team of volunteers.

Wider financial and wellbeing support is available via our More Than Food team and through them more specialist advice here on site, regarding income, benefits, debt and housing. We would encourage you to ask one of our volunteers for further information.
